Recharge Modelling

Sophisticated modelling of recharge as essential input to other groundwater models

This package includes MIKE SHE components for Overland Flow and Unsaturated Zone simulations. Groundwater processes in the Saturated Zone, 1D River modelling and all Water Quality options are excluded. The Linear-Reservoir method for groundwater–river interaction is only available when this package is used in combination with another package that includes MIKE+ Rivers.

For more detailed information about how to apply the Recharge modelling in your projects, please read this documentation: Recharge Modelling - MIKE SHE

What's in the package?

MIKE SHE Hydrodynamics (HD) (excl. Saturated Zone with Finite-Difference method)

Integrated catchment modelling

MIKE SHE Hydrodynamics (HD)
MIKE SHE delivers truly integrated modelling of groundwater, surface water, recharge and evapotranspiration, including water quality. MIKE SHE includes all important aspects of hydrology when your project requires a fully integrated model. No other tool or combination of tools can match MIKE SHE in terms of seamless integration of all the important processes of the hydrological cycle. MIKE SHE HD includes the following processes:

  • Groundwater flow
  • Simplified 2D overland flow
  • Unsaturated flow
  • Evapotranspiration
  • Irrigation of agricultural areas
