Flow Advanced
Groundwater and porous media modelling
FEFLOW Flow Advanced contains all the features of FEFLOW Flow Subscription, i.e. modelling of 2D/3D flow under variable and fully-saturated conditions but also gives you access to FEFLOW’s Geomodelling and Advanced Python capabilities. This has been designed to allow hydrogeologists and groundwater engineers to create high-fidelity 3D conceptual models with greater speed and precision.
Whether you are integrating geological data from third-party software, or using the new Implicit Geomodelling package to generate geologically meaningful surfaces and domains, you can move beyond the limitations of traditional manual modelling.
Geomodelling delivers access to powerful 3D Supermesh capabilities and geometry correction tools, ensuring your models reflect complex subsurface realities. At the same time, Advanced Python scripting allows you to automate everything from Supermesh creation to full 3D model builds, cutting hours from the setup process and significantly reducing operational costs.
FEFLOW F3 Advanced is dedicated to professionals working with complex geological dataset and FEFLOW users trying to mode to the next level by boosting their modelling workflows with FEFLOW Advanced Python methods.

What's in the package?
FEFLOW F3 (flow modelling)
Flow modelling
- Darcy flow in porous media
- 2D/3D unsaturated flow
- Free surface (phreatic) flow
- Density dependent flow
- Fracture and pipe flow
Bonus modules: piHMC, piMIKE1D
piHMC
This module allows the support of mechanical processes (hydro-mechanical coupling) in FEFLOW flow calculations.
piMIKE1D
This module supports the dynamic coupling between FEFLOW and MIKE 1D engines. piMIKE1D works only with MIKE 2022 and FEFLOW 7.5 and is not backward compatible. Previous MIKE releases are limited to the free IFMMIKE11 utility. The current implementation of piMIKE1D is limited to flow simulations only.
Advanced Features
3D geometrical handling, advanced meshing and workflow automation
This module offers a collection of several utilities (Geode and PySMH) to support advanced modelling cases. The Geode-FEFLOW toolkit includes (1) the possibility to repair improper geological datasets by identifying the intersection between geometrical surfaces and repairing their connections and (2) the mesh generation of detailed 3D unstructured tetrahedral meshes.
FEFLOW PySMH is a Python extension of FEFLOW’s programming interface to create, edit and manipulate FEFLOW Supermesh files. FEFLOW PySMH allows you to streamline geothermal model building directly with Python.
