Why MIKE WaterNet Advisor?

Make critical operational decisions based on real-time information

Control your network online and in real-time for powerful operational decision support. Take advantage of MIKE WaterNet Advisor’s real-time hindcasting and forecasting capabilities to run automated simulations in an easy and efficient manner reducing the time spent on exporting information.

Make decisions with real-time information so your water distribution continues to run at peak performance

MIKE WaterNet Advisor is compatible with non-MIKE water distribution modelling software so there’s no need to create a new model

Boost the results visualisation power of your existing modelling software

MIKE WaterNet Advisor now supports three engines: DHI EPANET (2.0 and 2.2), MIKE 1D and SWMM for result viewing, sharing, and running simulations and scenarios. Simply open any Water Distribution (MIKE+ or EPANET), Collection System (MIKE+ MIKE 1D or SWMM) model, display its contents using predefined layers and edit model data using the engine’s simulation tools. Load simulation results and display time series, scatter plots, profile plots or map view, create thematic maps or browse and animate results. A live connection between telemetry (SCADA) data and the hydraulic model is also now available for EPANET based models.

Access your model from any device

MIKE WaterNet Advisor is very easy to install and use. We set up a one-time installation software on your company server (or on Cloud storage). With a username and password, you gain access from a tablet, smartphone, laptop or desktop – whichever you prefer. Select your hydraulic model(s) and connect it to MIKE WaterNet Advisor. That’s all it takes to get up and running – with as many users as you specify.

View your hydraulic conditions from any device for on the fly decision making

With MIKE WaterNet Advisor, modellers are no longer the only ones that can interpret model results

Anyone can use the program, there is no special expertise required

Water utility operators and emergency response teams often depend on experts to extract data from hydraulic models which slows decision-making, delays tasks and impacts the bottom line. MIKE WaterNet Advisor doesn’t require special knowledge to operate so the answers are literally at your fingertips. Data can easily be shared across the organisation and from experts to non-experts with ease.

Get On-Line with MIKE WaterNet Advisor

The on-line model is a “live” version of the hydraulic model where water levels, water consumptions, pump and valve settings are as in the physical system. This is accomplished by developing an automatic data link between the hydraulic model and SCADA (telemetry) database and update of the hydraulic model.

View clear and easy to understand SWMM model results anytime, anywhere

Access your SWMM models online

In addition to traditional Water Distribution models, MIKE WaterNet Advisor users now have web-based access to SWMM models. With WaterNet Advisor SWMM, you can set up scenarios, run simulations and view and share the results from a desktop, phone or tablet. MIKE WaterNet Advisor is the only product on the market with these capabilities.

Work with your MIKE 1D models

MIKE WaterNet Advisor users now have web-based access to DHI MIKE 1D models too. With WaterNet Advisor CS (Collection System), you can set up scenarios and edit your model, run network hydraulics, catchment run-off or water quality simulations as well as view and share the results from a desktop, phone or tablet. MIKE WaterNet Advisor is the only product on the market with these capabilities.

Hear how our customers are using this breakthrough application

“This tool is a very successful advance in the perspective of the generalisation of the use of the modelling of water supply systems. We greatly appreciate the availability in mobile screens, and as someone said, this tool is the democratisation of the simulation - in the palm of our hand.”

- Paulo Praça, Senior Technician
Department of Water and Waste Water, Municipality of Barreiro, Portugal
"Excellent tool! Straightforward and appealing at the same time. It is pretty useful in order to carry out performance analysis and quick scenario comparison. It is a very good option for operational staff within water utilities especially for a quick contingency assessment.”

Additional capabilities & unique features

Power and energy reporting

Elevate your hydraulic system management with automated reporting, granting effortless access to crucial performance metrics. This includes comprehensive data on various key indicators, such as average pressure, natural input energy, pump power energy, energy delivered to users, energy dissipated, shaft energy per volume, excess of supplied energy, network efficiency, and standard energy compliance. With this automated reporting system, you can efficiently monitor and analyse the performance of your hydraulic systems, facilitating better decision-making and optimisation of your operations.

Transform your modeling experience with the redesigned WD online module for MIKE WaterNet Advisor, now seamlessly interfacing with the MIKE+ model database in the SQLite file format. This ensures 100% compatibility between online and offline models in MIKE+, eliminating the need for data conversion and the risk of data loss when opening any online model directly in MIKE+.

Node Reachability index

MIKE WaterNet Advisor’s Node Reachability Index effectively reduces network vulnerability by highlighting and ranking the most vulnerable areas of the system. By evaluating the probability that a given node (end user) is connected to at least one source, users can quickly identify and protect critical nodes in advance.

System and energy reporting

Online modellers now have access to a full suite of performance indicators in MIKE WaterNet Advisor to better support system and energy audits and water supply reporting. Such indicators include average system pressure, natural energy, pump energy, energy delivered to users, energy lost due to friction, dissipated energy, network energy efficiency and more.

MIKE WaterNet Advisor’s user interface

MIKE WaterNet Advisor has launched a new user interface that clearly defines all entries required for an online model build such as sensor mapping, the definition of comparisons and histories, demand zones, pump and valve controls and demand prediction.

Demand Prediction module

Using a new Demand Prediction module, online modellers can now estimate water consumption to predict future conditions. Based on machine learning or statistical methods, demand prediction can be applied to system demands, zone flows, turnout flows etc.

Fire flow modelling

There’s so much MIKE WaterNet Advisor allows you to do! Edit water distribution model data (tanks, reservoirs, pipes, pumps, valves or node demands) and collection system model data (basins, manholes, conduits, pumps, valves, weirs) with ease. Perform hydraulic analyses (both steady state, extended period, unsteady flow), fire flow analyses, network capacity analyses, water age analyses, multi-source trace analyses and contaminant event analyses.

Map with hydrants from GIS

The built-in Model Management tools make it easy to create, edit and delete a model. You can register any MIKE+ or EPANET file as well as GIS layers. Share your model with other users or choose to keep it private.

The hallmark of MIKE WaterNet Advisor is the easy visualisation of results. You can overlay maps and time series data for an even greater understanding of the results.

Create, edit or delete scenarios using the built-in scenario tools. You can also choose to share the scenario with other users or keep it private.
