“2015 was just a start. We’re evolving. We’re focusing on you – because to succeed in our quest to solve the world’s toughest water challenges, we need you.

You must have access to our global knowledge pool – in the most efficient and effective way. And this we can achieve with the most innovative technologies. Faster, more open, more flexible – MIKE 2016 widens the span of possibilities for you and for our world of water.

Because tomorrow, water resources will be sustainably managed, cities and industries will be greener – it’s not a wish, it’s a must. Our expert staff is equipped to achieve this with you.

We're ready for 2016, and we're sure you are too.” – Antoine Labrosse, CEO

Transporting a steel gravity structure by sea
Chevron needed to transport a prefabricated 36,000-tonne steel gravity structure (SGS) from South Korea to Australia using a heavy lift vessel (HLV). To confirm the integrity of the chosen transport, they asked us to carry out physical model tests in the ocean basin. We found that the seakeeping characteristics of the HLV were excellent with a satisfactory margin of safety against overturning, wave slam and loads experienced by the SGS and vessel during their long journey through the Pacific Ocean.

Helping san diego supply safe and reliable water
San Diego County Water Authority’s (SDCWA) mission is to provide safe and reliable water to its 24 member agencies. We were awarded a contract to develop a dynamic transient flow model that is suitable for modelling their conveyance and distribution system, including but not limited to pipelines, hydraulic facilities, reservoirs and aqueducts, as well as relevant facilities of other local agencies that have a significant hydraulic influence on SDCWA’s system.

Bedload transport modelling for river channel improvements
Improvements to river channels carried out for flood mitigation will generally have some effect on transport of the gravel bedload. Any resulting changes in bed levels can in turn affect flood levels, possibly diminishing the effect of the channel improvements over time. The Sediment Transport (ST) module in MIKE 11 is able to estimate these effects.
