We saw the participation from employees of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) in Edirne, Turkey. This training course focussed on MIKE 11 HD and Dam Break Analysis.

During the course, participants were introduced to the various capabilities of MIKE 11 modelling system. This will enable them to set up and run river models with MIKE 11. Also, the participant’s further experienced using MIKE 11 dam break modelling system to model the river in one dimension. Defining a dam structure for rivers and conducting dam break analysis were other topics covered.

‘We have spent a fruitful week modelling the concepts of MIKE 11 with the experts from DSİ – one of the key governmental organizations in Turkey’ said Serdar Sürer, Managing Director, DHI Turkey. ‘We would like to expand our training courses and seminars to include even more participants in the future’ Serdar added.
