DHI Sweden wins framework agreement with Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management

DHI Sweden has been awarded a framework agreement with the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (SwAM). The agreement covers consultancy services for marine, water and fisheries management.

A total of 24 consulting firms bid for all or some of four sub-areas. We’re sharing the top spot as one of only two firms awarded an agreement in the Investigations and Analyses sub-area. This sub-area supports SwAM with investigations and analysis pertaining to the authority’s areas of management. The services provided include:
  • scenario analyses
  • SWOT analyses
  • cost-benefit analyses
  • impact and sustainability analyses
Other potential services include assisting with the development of strategies and programmes as well as specific process support for complex projects and meetings.

‘We're very happy to be supporting SwAM in their work to manage and protect Sweden's aquatic environments,’ says Olof Liungman from DHI Sweden. ‘As experts in water environments, we will draw from our decades of research and real-life experience in Sweden and around the world to help SwAM ensure flourishing seas, lakes and streams for the benefit and enjoyment of all’.

A relatively new national authority, SwAM oversees marine- and water-related issues. It is responsible for managing the use and preventing the overuse of Sweden's marine and freshwater environments.
