Delegation visits our headquarters to discuss water-related challenges in Morocco

On 1 October 2014, a delegation from Morocco visited our headquarters in Hørsholm, Denmark.

H.E. Ms. Charafat Afailal – Minister Delegate to the Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment in Charge of Water – led the Moroccan delegation. The delegation also included representatives from various water, wastewater treatment and environmental authorities as well as river basin organisations.

While at our headquarters, DHI Group CEO Antoine Labrosse and senior colleagues spoke with the delegation about our experience solving water challenges around the world. The delegation also discussed some of the pressing water-related challenges facing the country, which include:
  • reducing the effects of climate change
  • improving integrated water resources management
  • protecting against floods
  • improving water sanitation and treatment
‘We look forward to assisting Morocco with finding solutions to the country’s unique national and regional water challenges in the future’, said Kim Wium Olesen, Head of the Water Resources Department.

Over the course of the trip, the delegation also met with their Danish counterparts, including H.E. Ms. Kirsten Brosbol, the Danish Minister of Environment.
