MIKE by DHI Coast and SeaFrom Release 2009 all computational engines in the marine product line are also available in true 64-bit versions taking full advantage of the 64-bit technology and benefits like memory access and speed improvements.

The introduction of parallelization of the computationally demanding engines continues with the release of multicore version of MIKE 21 BW. Furthermore, all engines that utilise the multicore technology will by default come with a quad core license helping our users of these products becoming even more productive.

The MIKE 3 FM series now allows for a combination of s-level and z-level coordinates in the vertical direction offering more flexibility than any other similar product.

Other new key features in the MIKE 21 and MIKE 3 series are:

  • Redesign of oil spill module (Classic series only)
  • Improved editing of mesh files
  • New dredging module
  • Draping of images in MIKE Animator (dfs2 files only)
  • New project tab in MIKE Zero allowing for overlay of images
