| Introduction |
This two-day training course includes the two fundamental MIKE URBAN WD training modules and will take the participant through the basic MIKE URBAN system with its advanced data preparation and editing facilities. Basic concepts in hydraulic modelling of flow in pipes under pressure will be introduced, and a number of small exercises will prepare the participant for real-world applications. The course has been designed for professionals in water distribution planning and management in public or private sector. |

The MIKE URBAN User Interface:
- Overview of MIKE URBAN WD.
- The MIKE URBAN application & project concept.
- Manual and graphic data input & editing options.
- GIS functionality: layers, symbology, labeling, etc.
- Essentials of data import/export options.
- Tools: units, languages, selections, data interpolation & assignment.
Fundamentals of Water Distribution Modelling
- WD Model elements and process schematization.
- Running Steady State and Extended Period simulations.
- Presenting simulation results – viewing and printing.
- Basis of model calibration and verification.

This course is intended for existing Water Distribution and Planning Engineers seeking to gain fundamental MIKE URBAN Modelling Skills and Managers looking to gain an overview of the capabilities of MIKE URBAN. |
| Prerequisites |
No formal prerequisites are required but a knowledge water distribution systems would be an advantage. |
