| Introduction |
This course gives an introduction to MIKE BASIN, DHI’s GIS based River Basin planning tool. The attendees will be provided with an overview of river basin planning and the use of MIKE BASIN for water allocation and reservoir operation projects will be demonstrated. |
| What will you learn? |
The course will cover the following topics:
- General introduction to river basin management
- Introduction to processes described in MIKE BASIN
- Defining and conceptualising the problem scenarios
- Assessing water demands for water supply, irrigation and hydropower
- Reservoir operation
- Development of simple models

| Who should attend? |
This course is for professionals in water resources planning and management in public and private sectors who wish to undertake or understand water resources modelling projects. |
| Prerequisites |
No formal prerequisites but a knowledge of GIS and river basin management would be an advantage |

2 day course including lectures and hands-on tutorials. |
