Level 3 |
| Introduction |
This 2 day course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of cohesive and non-cohesive sediment transport modelling in rivers and estuaries. It is assumed that participants have a working knowledge of the MIKE 11 hydrodynamic module and/or have completed a MIKE 11 course. |
| What will you learn? |
The course will cover the following topics:
- Scientific background for 1D sediment transport
- Application of cohesive models
- Application of non-cohesive ST models
- Choosing an appropriate non-cohesive sediment transport formula
- Using single fraction models and graded sediment models
- Calibration of sediment models
- Solving practical problems with MIKE 11
|
| Who should attend? |
