During the week of March 22-26, DHI China hosted the largest MIKE 21 training course ever with 120 trainees - the largest one since the establishment of DHI China. The training course took place in Chang Hang Hotel in Shanghai. The five days of training included a two-day basic training mainly about MIKE 21 PP & HD and a three-day training which divided the trainees into three smaller classes: i) water environment class, ii) mud and sand class and iii) wave class. The course participants mainly came from research institutions, universities and industry in mainland China as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan.
During the first two days, senior hydrodynamic engineers Mr. Jixuan Li and Mr. Zhenhua Pan offered an excellent and detailed lecture on MIKE 21 PP & HD. They were assisted by a large number of assistant trainers and the large room was crowded – not a single vacant seat could be found. Every trainee was supported by our assistant-engineers, who show great patience and efforts through the whole process.
From 24 March and onwards the trainees were divided up into three professional classes. As mentioned the three classes were Water Environment class, Mud & Sand class and Wave class. The trainees were assisted by a number of trainers.
The Fifth Day of MIKE Software Training (26 March 2010) - the training coming towards a happy ending. A huge success!
The five-day MIKE software training is coming to a happy ending today. All trainees from the Water Environment class, Mud and Sand class and Wave class have learned a lot during the training course. No matter how different the fields they study, the trainees communicate very well, and we believe that they have all gained much more than just some software skills about MIKE 21 (2009 Version). Trainees from China Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, all feel precious about this training chance and take photos together at the gate of Chang Hang Hotel for this memorable period in Shanghai. Last, but not least, we would like to express our great appreciation to all participants for their support to the staff of DHI China. If you have any problem at using the software or have any ideas and advice for improvements, please tell us at any time. You can E-mail us at: sos-cn@dhigroup.com
