Would you like to see the effects of climate change? The MapMyClimate portal operates with different scenarios from best cases to worst cases. One worst case scenario to many Danes would be the flooding of the Kronborg castle in Elsinore, also known from Shakespeares Hamlet. The movie presenting the ideas behind MapMyClimate includes this scenario.
MapMyClimate though presents no final picture of the implications of climate change. This is indeed underlined by the poetic music of the movie which is not only giving answers but also asking questions. The intention of the portal is exactly to activate people instead of discouraging them. The visitor gets an opportunity to better understand how individual behaviour influences the environment and the climate.
The movie is produced by Morten Kvist.
The portal is based on some of the latest climate impact calculations produced by research institutes in Denmark including DHI, DTU and NERI. MapMyClimate only exists in Danish for the time being.
