Poll: Marine Software for Linux?

04 May 2005   Poll: Marine Software for Linux?

DHI's Marine Software Products are at present available for PCs with Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and XP operating systems. They are based on a fully Windows integrated Graphical User Interface. They are compiled as true 32-bit applications but will soon also be available as 64-bit.

A discussion has now been initated to support Linux servers, i.e. to make the MIKE 21 and MIKE 3 model engines available on Client/Server Platforms (or dual boot PCs) using Linux as the OS and keeping GUI on the Windows platform. It is our impression that Linux OS has only limited relevance for our present users and for most of our potential users. But is our intuition correct?

Please let us know your opinion and take part in the poll
